Ep. #212 of The Social Entrepreneurship & Innovation Podcast
Is it just me or does it feel like the world needs some real good news right now?
Well, we’re in luck. Because today we’re speaking with Branden Harvey, who’s made it his job to celebrate the good in the world.
Branden is the founder of Good Good Good. He hosts the Sounds Good podcast, and is the Editor in Chief of The Good Newspaper, a printed newspaper full of good news.
Branden has built an online community of over 500,000 world changers. He’s driven to seek out the good in the world—the real good—which, as he puts it, helps us do even better.

In this episode, we were joined by Branden Harvey, the Founder of Good Good Good.
Good Good Good is the media company that helps you feel more hopeful and do more good.
Branden’s story started with a curiosity. Photography.
And although he grew up in a small town (Pullman, WA), where the resources to pursue that interest were hard to come by, he found a professional photographer’s style he liked.
She also happened to have a sense of purpose behind her work. And she shared that lesson with Branden.
Find ways to use you creative work for good.
So Branden got started.
He shot photos for nonprofits, traveled the world as a humanitarian photographer, he saw the problems of the world up close.
But whether it was conscious or not, Branden didn’t leave things at the problems, he wanted to help to point out the solutions, too.
Sure, there are a lot of bad things that happen in the world, but what can fix it?
Who IS fixing it?
Branden became driven to find the helpers.
“Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.”
— Fred Rogers
Inspired by the wisdom of Mister Rogers, Branden realized it wasn’t exactly photography that was his passion and purpose, but a vehicle for him to seek out the good in the world and share that with others.
Some years later (with some excellent stories in between) Branden founded Good Good Good.
