Sean is a public speaker, marketing strategist, and of course, podcast host.
He, like me, has a desire to use his creative and cognitive capacities to leave the world a better place.
In our conversation, we explore that very topic.
The desire, the ache, the pull to do work that matters for the world.
Work that means something and ideally makes a positive dent in the universe.
This is one of my favorite conversation threads to explore.
To me, it’s not a no-brainer that people seek out impactful work.
Sadly, we’re not really enabled or encouraged to do so (at least in the U.S.).
Choosing to pursue a career that serves others or serves the planet is seen as something exceptional.
Something that requires sacrifice.
The default is to take care of yourself, take care of only your family.
At least in the mainstream, a job, is a job, is a job.
So, while I don’t agree with that prevailing belief, I’m always interested in why some people (like Sean) defy a very common narrative and pursue work that does good.
Our conversation is a good look into that exact journey for each of us.
The journey to purposeFULL work.

“The impetus [for We Can Do This] was really for diving in and having conversations with likeminded people that were passionate about the projects they were working on—the initiatives—and really taking an innovative approach to business, as well as engaging their business with impact in mind.”
